I had the pleasure of meeting the F family today. When they contacted me about taking family pictures for them, they told me how special it was because both kids live out of state and it is rare that everyone is together and they wanted to make sure to document it. You may recognize the Raymont family. They are good friends of mine and I have been lucky enough to capture their daughter Anastasia throughout her first year of life. I often get asked what to wear to your photography session with me when it comes time for your family photos, your engagement session or child’s milestone captures. From now on, you can expect us to post a “What to Wear” blog post each month with example of how colors can work together to make a fabulous wardrobe for your photo!
This month’s post is all about color. We may be lacking in color on the trees in Indiana, but that doesn’t mean your wardrobe should lack color! Its time to think past your basic white and black shirts, folks! Have some fun with bold colors such as green, blue and purple. Jeans always work well because most of us enjoy wearing jeans and are comfortable. Remember that if you are comfortable, you will relax, your personality will shine through and we’ll have a rockin’ photo session!!
Also, don’t forget about fun accessories, ladies! The right accessories can really add to an outfit.

We have had some beautiful weather here in Indianapolis this week and it has been so wonderful to get outside again without freezing!! As we get ready to gear up for some mini-sessions this weekend, my sweet Bella wanted to welcome you all to spring!!

I just returned home from a wonderful 4 day trip to Las Vegas for WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) Convention! It was such an amazing trip. I spent the time with some of my very good friends and fellow photographers from around the country. I also had a wonderful time at the trade show and saw some inspirational photographers speak. We had several shoots together and also had a fun time out on the town 
Here are just a few highlights from our trip!

I can’t wait to go back next year!

We had a big snow here in Indianapolis this weekend and today we decided to take Bella out in it. She seemed to enjoy it more than last year, although she preferred to be held by her Daddy. Also, the dogs are sporting their Colts jerseys to cheer on our Indianapolis Colts in the Superbowl today!! GO COLTS!
