I knew from the day I met Paige & Kevin that I would have a blast shooting their wedding. Jerry and I both graduated from Purdue and so did Paige & Kevin (although we are older… but shhhh) and they were returning to Boilermaker country to become husband and wife. You might remember this couple from their engagement session in Chicago here .
They had areas around campus that they definitely wanted to visit for pictures and I have to say it was soooo nice to have so much time with them and their wedding party. Usually we are super crunched for time, but this group was up for just about anything. If you are from Indiana or have been to Purdue, you understand the significance of some of these locations including Harrys and the Boilermaker Special
Here are some from throughout the day….
When we first got there, I went straight to the salon to meet up with the girls.

Meanwhile, Jerry went to catch up with the guys…

Love it when the bride incorporates some fun shoes

And those of you from Purdue, we were getting ready in the Union… I cannot believe how much it has changed since we went to school there!

What a beautiful bride!

Paige’s dad is a minister and officiated part of the wedding ceremony. It was truly beautiful.

This wedding party was a blast

We REALLY had to fight for this shot. Harry’s has been around Purdue for a very long time… and it’s a bar. They weren’t going to let us in because none of us were carrying our IDs. HAHA! Here we were, with tons of camera equipment and a full bridal party on the train… and yet… they weren’t going to let us in, haha! Thankfully, they changed their minds and we were able to get behind the bar

The first dance… so in love

Mother/Son dance… awwwwww!

Congratulations Paige & Kevin! Thank you for choosing us to be part of your beautiful day. We hope you are having a blast in Hawaii!

This weekend Jerry and I traveled out to the small town of Marshall, Illinois right over the Indiana border to capture Abby & Scott’s wedding day for them. It was a pleasure getting to know them and they welcomed us into their day with tons of small town charm
The rain stopped for all of the pictures and everything went exactly as planned. Here are just a few from their special day… enjoy your sneak peek!

Beautiful Abby

Congratulations Abby & Scott… thank you for making us a part of your special day!!

Ever since I met Hannah, I knew their wedding was going to be something special. A country girl at heart marrying a farmer, their day was filled with love and kindness. Jerry and I talked about how kind everyone was that we met through this couple, and I still must say it again
Those of you visiting this blog entry who were a part of Hannah & Karl’s special day… THANK YOU for being so wonderful to us while we were there and making it easy to do our job
Their wedding took place in their hometown and the reception took place at the farm that Karl runs… but I am not lying when I tell you that when I walked into the reception hall that my mouth dropped open when I saw the decorations! You would have never known this place was normally filled with farming equipment!
Here we go.. Karl & his guys…

Did I mention that Karl is tall? Yes, its true. But I’m telling you that they make the perfect couple.
And some bling…

Hannah’s dress had a corset, and those things are not easy to figure out. We played … “how many bridesmaids does it take to figure out a dress?” hahaha
And look… they even have directions

BEAUTIFUL!

One of Hannah’s bridemaids is expecting in September… isn’t her baby bump the CUTEST?!

First kiss as husband and wife

And off they go….
..this photo reminds me of something I would find in a shoebox of old photos at my grandmother’s house… just something about it. And it’s for that reason that I like it

LOOOOOOOOOOVVVEEEEE!!!

Inside the reception location… I told you… stunning!

Awwwww….so sweet.

I love it when friends and family actually get up to dance! What a fun crowd

And a couple to close out the night…

Congratulations Hannah and Karl, I’m so thankful we got to meet the two of you.
Stay tuned for their trash the dress session, coming up later this week

While I am usually the primary photographer, I had the pleasure to second shoot with Anya Albonetti of Anya Albonetti Photography this past weekend. Anya does beautiful work and I had a lot of fun shooting with her.
The couple was beautiful and the wedding itself was charming and romantic in the pretty village of Zionsville. Here are some of the shots I took from the day, enjoy!
Aren’t they adorable?

Had the pleasure of photographing the work of the talented Megan Raymont of Makeup by Megan Alexis again

Hot legs, ladies!!

This was one proud daddy…he was so sweet and such a gentleman. You can really tell how proud he is of his daughter

I met up with this lovely couple this week for their engagement photos. He is a biochemist and she is a clinical psychologist. They are getting married in March in Mexico, and originally weren’t going to have engagement pictures taken. Thankfully, they received the session as a gift and I am very happy that I got to meet them! We had a lot of fun despite the heat and I hope they enjoy their sneak peek!

One of the best things about my job is getting to meet so many amazing people. I met Ayndrea awhile back when a mutual friend of ours referred her to me when she was looking for a wedding photographer. I should have known since we already shared good friends, that we would get along as well too. You might remember this couple from their engagement session back a few months ago here. Yesterday was a wonderful day as they became husband and wife. We traveled up to Wabash, Indiana for their big day. Jerry and I drove through some towns in Indiana along the way that we didn’t even know existed.. like… Strawtown. Anyone ever heard of it?
When we got there, the thing that stuck out to me the most, that I don’t think I will ever forget, was how happy Ryan was right from the beginning. He had a big smile on his face the whole day — and the way his face lit up when he saw Ayndrea for the first time will always be in my heart. So in love. Let’s take a look….
Are you kidding me? She is STUNNING! No wonder he can’t take his eyes off of her!!

And now a look at Ryan…awww!

A fun shoe shot….

Every wedding I do, the couple always asks me when and how we should take their photos. I have done it both ways and always leave it up to them. Ayndrea and Ryan decided they wanted to take all of the photos before the wedding, so we did a reveal in a park nearby. These take some planning but it worked out perfectly!

The guys

The girls

Good lookin’ group!
Amazingly beautiful couple!! This one is one of my favorites!

Yahoo.. husband and wife!

And so in love…. …

Bouquet toss… haahahahaha this shot is just too good not to share. You go girls!

And the most hilarious garter toss to date for me. Ryan had a plan all along and hid hand cuffs and whipped cream under the chair Ayndrea was sitting on. She had NO idea!! So he went under for the garter and came out with hand cuffs… haha! The look on her face! Then, I guess I should mention the part when he went back under and came out with whipped cream and sprayed it everywhere…and then I slipped and fell… hahahaha, yeah… that’s definitely a moment I will never forget!

This group knew their line dances, I was totally impressed. Even all the grandparents were out on the dance floor. Love it:)

And now for a couple of my favorites. Ahhhh they are just so in love and it’s so beautiful!

That’s it for now folks… Congratulations Ayndrea and Ryan, I hope you guys enjoyed your sneak peek! Thank you for making us a part of your special day. You guys are amazing and I hope you have so much fun in St. Thomas!!

What a wedding! Brooklyn and Scott are an amazing couple. When I first met Brooklyn last fall, I knew we would get along perfectly. She was open to just about anything photograph wise, and they are such a sweet couple. You can just really tell how much he loves her and her eyes sparkle every time he looks at her
It was a very HOT day on Saturday in southern Indiana, but it was a fantastic day. I am so honored that they chose us to be a part of it

A love story is true! The reception venue was an old theatre called The Grand in New Albany, Indiana. So much fun!
What is a wedding without the details?
The shoes….(yes she had 2 different pairs;))

The flowers

Getting ready!

The STUNNING bride! Are you kidding me Brooklyn?? You are beautiful!

The church…

The girls rockin’ their sunglasses

You are stunning, girl!

A tender moment with mom

Ceremony

Fun group

Rockin’ it out on the dance floor… this gang was super fun. Even Jerry got out there at the end

Thanks guys for coming back out with me after the sun went down… such tender moments captured

And just for your amusement…. a shot of me with the awesome couple…. yes, I am short, haha!

And another amusing shot… thanks Jerry for the pullback of me in action!

Thank you guys for making us part of your amazing day. You guys are a beautiful couple and we wish you many years of love & happiness!
