Hannah & Karl…trash the dress :) | INDIANA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Here these two lovebirds are again. This time rocking the dress relaxed and married I had so much fun on this session and these two totally rocked it out. Can you say hot??

Ever since I met Hannah, I knew their wedding was going to be something special. A country girl at heart marrying a farmer, their day was filled with love and kindness. Jerry and I talked about how kind everyone was that we met through this couple, and I still must say it again Those of you visiting this blog entry who were a part of Hannah & Karl’s special day… THANK YOU for being so wonderful to us while we were there and making it easy to do our job

Their wedding took place in their hometown and the reception took place at the farm that Karl runs… but I am not lying when I tell you that when I walked into the reception hall that my mouth dropped open when I saw the decorations! You would have never known this place was normally filled with farming equipment!

Here we go.. Karl & his guys…

Did I mention that Karl is tall? Yes, its true. But I’m telling you that they make the perfect couple.

Hannah’s dress had a corset, and those things are not easy to figure out. We played … “how many bridesmaids does it take to figure out a dress?” hahaha And look… they even have directions

Melissa & Ryan | INDIANAPOLIS ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

When I talked to Melissa & Ryan about their engagement session, we knew a couple of things for sure. They are getting married on New Years Day, so their engagement session was going to include warmth and sunshine. We also knew that we wanted to incorporate Ryan’s awesome car in the shoot. Lindsey & Alex | INDIANAPOLIS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Oh, Lindsey and Alex Lindsey found me randomly awhile ago while researching photographers online, and I am so grateful that she did. I have gotten to know Lindsey fairly well over the past few months, and I feel like we were destined to be friends! We got along wonderfully from the start and as small as the world is… came to find out that her then future sister in law was actually my next door neighbor! How crazy is that? Anyway, Lindsey has now done a boudoir and engagement shoot with me before her wedding day and she has to be one of the most photogenic people I have ever met. She has a contagious smile and these gorgeous eyes that just totally capture you When she introduced me to Alex for the first time, she warned me about how much he despises having his picture taken. Let me tell you something– this guy is wonderful, completely in love with Linds, and had us laughing non-stop the whole wedding day I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing couple. What to Wear JULY | FISHERS/NOBLESVILLE PHOTOGRAPHER

It’s that time again for our monthly “What to Wear” post. This month it is hot out!! Shorts are absolutely okay in your family portraits as long as you feel comfortable in them. You want your clothing choices to reflect who you are and you want to feel happy, confident and attractive. So choose something that makes you feel good! Summer is also the perfect time to break out the cute skirts and dresses for the little girls… or if you are preparing for an engagement session or senior photos this is the perfect season to wear that fun dress and fun shoes you’ve needed an excuse to wear

Just come prepared… if you choose to wear shorts or skirts, spray some bug spray on before your shoot. The unfortunate part of summer are the mosquitoes…but don’t let that keep you from showing off your tan!

Anya does beautiful work and I had a lot of fun shooting with her. The couple was beautiful and the wedding itself was charming and romantic in the pretty village of Zionsville. Kari & Brook | INDIANAPOLIS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

What a wedding! Imagine a 4th of July wedding in downtown Indianapolis where the ceremony took place on top of the Sheraton Hotel… it was beautiful! It was a very, very, very hot and humid day here in Indy, but Kari & Brook didn’t complain at all as we trotted through downtown to capture their day. Complete with a horse and buggy carriage ride, a rain-free outdoor ceremony and fireworks to end the evening… Kari & Brook are now married and celebrating their honeymoon in Hawaii. I have to make a special mention of my business partner, primary second photographer and wonderful husband, Jerry for his amazing work at this wedding. He was sweating from head to toe and got some killer shots of his own… not to mention his impeccable support. We had so much fun getting to know this couple throughout the year and their wedding party and guests were a blast to be around as well. Enjoy your sneak peek and Congratulations!

This is a great city, by the way.

The Sheraton on the circle was a beautiful location for a ceremony and reception. This was the first time we have shot a wedding there and I would highly recommend it! The service was amazing as well.

And the evening ended with the fireworks show back on the deck…. where we had to kick people out of the way LOL! It’s amazing how much power you have with a bride and groom with you and big expensive camera equipment.. haha!

Engaged | INDIANAPOLIS ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I met up with this lovely couple for the engagement session this week. It was an absolutely beautiful evening here in Indianapolis after weeks of be sweltering hot and humid… it was probably only 72 degrees without a cloud in the sky. Aren’t they adorable? They are planning a wedding in April, although the date has yet to be confirmed … you can really tell how much they love each other. Thanks guys for choosing me as your engagement photographer!
