Savannah is a senior at Center Grove High School this year and plans on studying architecture in the fall. She is a beautiful girl and we had a great time at her session this week despite the heat. Enjoy your sneak peek, Savannah these are only a few of so many wonderful shots of you!

You may remember Marissa, since she is one of my 2011 senior representatives. We took some of her rep shots back in February but we got together again last night for her regular full senior shoot. We had so much fun on the golf course as she showed off her skills. I admit that I know absolutely nothing about golf and when Marissa started throwing out terms about it I just shook my head and said “ok!” haha It was a very steamy evening but she was an excellent sport, and I am so glad that we did the golf shots right before the sun set. I had a great time with these girls this week. Their mom wanted some pictures of just the two of them, and as a mother myself I can understand how fast they grow up. Their mom told me it has been years since they’ve had their picture taken so I feel very honored they chose me to capture this time for them! We had some really nice light as the storms had moved through which was perfect for their pictures. Enjoy your sneak peek!

It’s that time again for our monthly “What to Wear” post. This month it is hot out!! Shorts are absolutely okay in your family portraits as long as you feel comfortable in them. You want your clothing choices to reflect who you are and you want to feel happy, confident and attractive. So choose something that makes you feel good! Summer is also the perfect time to break out the cute skirts and dresses for the little girls… or if you are preparing for an engagement session or senior photos this is the perfect season to wear that fun dress and fun shoes you’ve needed an excuse to wear
Just come prepared… if you choose to wear shorts or skirts, spray some bug spray on before your shoot. The unfortunate part of summer are the mosquitoes…but don’t let that keep you from showing off your tan!

While I am usually the primary photographer, I had the pleasure to second shoot with Anya Albonetti of Anya Albonetti Photography this past weekend. Anya does beautiful work and I had a lot of fun shooting with her. The couple was beautiful and the wedding itself was charming and romantic in the pretty village of Zionsville. It has been insanely hot in Indianapolis the last couple of weeks but I have to say that one thing I love about this heat is being able to take newborn goodness to unusual places It was a pleasure to meet Isaac and his parents this week and you will get to see more of Issac since he is now on my baby plan. I can’t wait to watch him grow!
