This wedding was absolutely beautiful. I can’t speak highly enough about the Ambassador House and Gardens at Fishers Heritage Park in the town of Fishers which is across the street from me. I have had many shoots at this park before but have never shot a wedding here before. Now, I can’t wait to do it again! Riye’s family brought in Japanese traditions to the wedding with arches handmade out of oragami paper. There was a dove release. The weather was perfect — and by perfect, I mean not a cloud in sky and a high around 75. A beautiful bride and handsome groom and an amazing group of wedding guests. I can’t think of anything that went wrong on this day

The dove release was very cool and so sweet….. until the dove left it’s little mark on Riye. She was a great sport about it though!

When Debbie contacted me for her wedding photography, we started off the planning process with a bit of a hiccup venue wise Luckily, she ended up falling in love with the Scottish Rite Cathedral downtown and I can definitely see why! The gorgeous architecture definitely suits this classy and romantic couple. They are truly a beautiful couple and it was evident to both Jerry and I that these are two are made for each other Enjoy your sneak peek Debbie and Bruce, thank you for making us part of your amazing evening!

Debbie & Bruce chose to see each other before the ceremony. Their first look took place in probably the most amazing room in the Cathedral, and I made sure that it was just us and them … but mostly just them

Well, hello gorgeous!

One thing that I thought was totally amazing about this wedding was how family was included in the bridal party. Bruce’s best man was his dad. How sweet is that??

Paige & Kevin | INDIANA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I knew from the day I met Paige & Kevin that I would have a blast shooting their wedding. Jerry and I both graduated from Purdue and so did Paige & Kevin (although we are older… but shhhh) and they were returning to Boilermaker country to become husband and wife. You might remember this couple from their engagement session in Chicago here .

They had areas around campus that they definitely wanted to visit for pictures and I have to say it was soooo nice to have so much time with them and their wedding party. Usually we are super crunched for time, but this group was up for just about anything. If you are from Indiana or have been to Purdue, you understand the significance of some of these locations including Harrys and the Boilermaker Special

And those of you from Purdue, we were getting ready in the Union… I cannot believe how much it has changed since we went to school there!

Paige’s dad is a minister and officiated part of the wedding ceremony. It was truly beautiful.

This wedding party was a blast

We REALLY had to fight for this shot. Harry’s has been around Purdue for a very long time… and it’s a bar. They weren’t going to let us in because none of us were carrying our IDs. HAHA! Here we were, with tons of camera equipment and a full bridal party on the train… and yet… they weren’t going to let us in, haha! Thankfully, they changed their minds and we were able to get behind the bar

This weekend Jerry and I traveled out to the small town of Marshall, Illinois right over the Indiana border to capture Abby & Scott’s wedding day for them. I met up with the Gail family in anticipation for baby boy #2 Aren’t they a cute family? Jill has the most perfect baby bump — completely 100% all baby! Their 2 year old Noah was just as cute as he could be as well and while we weren’t sure if he really knows there is a baby in there, he was sure to tell me all about the deer in the woods nearby where we were taking our photos, haha What a cutie!

Ever since I met Hannah, I knew their wedding was going to be something special. A country girl at heart marrying a farmer, their day was filled with love and kindness. Jerry and I talked about how kind everyone was that we met through this couple, and I still must say it again Those of you visiting this blog entry who were a part of Hannah & Karl’s special day… THANK YOU for being so wonderful to us while we were there and making it easy to do our job

Their wedding took place in their hometown and the reception took place at the farm that Karl runs… but I am not lying when I tell you that when I walked into the reception hall that my mouth dropped open when I saw the decorations! You would have never known this place was normally filled with farming equipment!

Here we go.. Karl & his guys…

Did I mention that Karl is tall? Yes, its true. But I’m telling you that they make the perfect couple.

And some bling…

Hannah’s dress had a corset, and those things are not easy to figure out. We played … “how many bridesmaids does it take to figure out a dress?” hahaha And look… they even have directions

You may remember Marissa, since she is one of my 2011 senior representatives. We took some of her rep shots back in February but we got together again last night for her regular full senior shoot. We had so much fun on the golf course as she showed off her skills. I admit that I know absolutely nothing about golf and when Marissa started throwing out terms about it I just shook my head and said “ok!” haha It was a very steamy evening but she was an excellent sport, and I am so glad that we did the golf shots right before the sun set.
