I had so much fun at this session! These two kiddos were a photographer’s dream — beautiful, photogenic and extremely well behaved who also loved having their picture taken. Who could ask for anything more? It was a really hazy evening at first but after awhile the clouds broke and the sun was low and beautiful. This family was celebrating some very special milestones. Megan and her husband are celebrating 10 years of marriage, their oldest son is turning 4 and their youngest son is turning 2 all within a couple of months of each other. The two boys are completely adorable and were so much fun to work with. Enjoy your sneak peek, Fogarty family and I congratulate you on all of these amazing moments!!

Tonight I met up with Wendy and her husband for her maternity pictures. Their first child is due in September and I can’t wait to capture their new baby! What a beautiful momma to be. You may remember this adorable little guy. I did his newborn pictures as well as his pictures around 4 months of age here. It took us awhile to coordinate our schedules for this session since his Daddy is a pilot and works a lot, but we finally were able to meet up. William just turned 10 months and I just could not believe how much he has grown! He is still as handsome as ever with the most amazing deep blue eyes. I went to college with his parents, and I just love these shots of them. They are such an adorable family! Enjoy your sneak peek, Blake family… can’t wait to see you guys again later this fall!

For this maternity session, I met up with the C Family. I took their family pictures over Christmas and I couldn’t get over at that time how much their little girl Riley looked like my daughter Bella. 8 months later I was so excited when Melissa called me and told me they are expecting again in early September right before Riley’s 2nd birthday and it was time for some maternity pictures. I recently went out scouting for some new locations, and had driven past this field last week. Little did I know that the flowers (aka weeds) were literally taller than me and there was no walking path whatsoever… ha! Yeah.. let’s just say these guys are really good sports. I did end up slicing my finger along the way which wasn’t so fun but thankfully all is well! Little Riley still remind me so much of my daughter Bella I can’t wait to meet their new addition to the family soon! Enjoy your sneak peek family, C family and thanks so much for being so great!

I had a great time with these girls this week. Their mom wanted some pictures of just the two of them, and as a mother myself I can understand how fast they grow up. Their mom told me it has been years since they’ve had their picture taken so I feel very honored they chose me to capture this time for them! It’s that time again for our monthly “What to Wear” post. This month it is hot out!! Shorts are absolutely okay in your family portraits as long as you feel comfortable in them. You want your clothing choices to reflect who you are and you want to feel happy, confident and attractive. So choose something that makes you feel good! Summer is also the perfect time to break out the cute skirts and dresses for the little girls… or if you are preparing for an engagement session or senior photos this is the perfect season to wear that fun dress and fun shoes you’ve needed an excuse to wear
Just come prepared… if you choose to wear shorts or skirts, spray some bug spray on before your shoot. The unfortunate part of summer are the mosquitoes…but don’t let that keep you from showing off your tan!

It was such a pleasure to meet baby Jake today and his parents, Kelly and Will. Jacob is just barely 2 weeks old and sweet as he can be. I am so glad they decided to move to Indiana from California so I could meet their family and photograph their precious baby boy. Enjoy your sneak peek!
