I had so much fun at this session! These two kiddos were a photographer’s dream — beautiful, photogenic and extremely well behaved who also loved having their picture taken. Who could ask for anything more? It was a really hazy evening at first but after awhile the clouds broke and the sun was low and beautiful. My goal with this family session was to tell a story and express to you their bond together. Enjoy your sneak peek, it was a pleasure meeting you all!

This family was celebrating some very special milestones. Megan and her husband are celebrating 10 years of marriage, their oldest son is turning 4 and their youngest son is turning 2 all within a couple of months of each other. The two boys are completely adorable and were so much fun to work with. Enjoy your sneak peek, Fogarty family and I congratulate you on all of these amazing moments!!

You may remember this adorable little guy. I did his newborn pictures as well as his pictures around 4 months of age here. It took us awhile to coordinate our schedules for this session since his Daddy is a pilot and works a lot, but we finally were able to meet up. William just turned 10 months and I just could not believe how much he has grown! He is still as handsome as ever with the most amazing deep blue eyes. I went to college with his parents, and I just love these shots of them. They are such an adorable family! Enjoy your sneak peek, Blake family… can’t wait to see you guys again later this fall!

One of my favorites from the whole session… love love love love this :)

I had a great time with these girls this week. Their mom wanted some pictures of just the two of them, and as a mother myself I can understand how fast they grow up. Their mom told me it has been years since they’ve had their picture taken so I feel very honored they chose me to capture this time for them! We had some really nice light as the storms had moved through which was perfect for their pictures. Enjoy your sneak peek!

It’s that time again for our monthly “What to Wear” post. This month it is hot out!! Shorts are absolutely okay in your family portraits as long as you feel comfortable in them. You want your clothing choices to reflect who you are and you want to feel happy, confident and attractive. So choose something that makes you feel good! Summer is also the perfect time to break out the cute skirts and dresses for the little girls… or if you are preparing for an engagement session or senior photos this is the perfect season to wear that fun dress and fun shoes you’ve needed an excuse to wear :)

Just come prepared… if you choose to wear shorts or skirts, spray some bug spray on before your shoot. The unfortunate part of summer are the mosquitoes…but don’t let that keep you from showing off your tan!

I do a lot of weddings, engagement sessions and sessions with little kids. However, Linda came to me with a special request to get some photographs taken of her and her three sisters as a surprise for their parents. Linda (the one in purple) went to high school with me and it’s been 10 years since I’ve seen or talked to her. It was really fun to see her again and to meet her family. Her sisters are just as beautiful as she is, and I am so honored they chose me for this :) Enjoy your sneak peek girls!

This married duo are on a plane to Mexico City as I speak for a mission trip, so this photo op was something this family wanted to get done before they left for their trip. Thanks guys for giving back!

This month’s what to wear guide features more fun colors for a family and no jeans! I love jeans for families, don’t get me wrong, but in the heat of the summer it’s not very comfortable or practical. Flowing skirts and sandals work well for girls and khaki shorts look nice on guys. Don’t always think you need to be wearing the same colors either. Colors that coordinate look wonderful on camera. Look how these purples, yellows, reds and browns bring life to a family’s wardrobe :)
